We know that you don't want to hear this, but no matter what the salesmen tell you a new PC IS NOT ready to use! Yes it will plug in and run, but there are things that NEED to be done to it that have not been done, and if they aren't done then it is like driving a new car with no oil in it! It will crank up and run, noisily but it will run, BUT IT WON'T GO FAR! A New PC is sort of like this.

If the maintenance programs aren't set up and instructed to FIX the errors that they find and to DEFRAG your files then you might get about 6 months out of your PC before the files get corrupted and the directories start to get rather bad errors in them! If these problems aren't corrected then your PC can loose its ability to BOOT-UP at all!

Once it reaches this point it is very difficult for even professionals to fix it without formatting the hard drive and loosing all your data!
